Community Features

Discussions, issues, collections, following, notifications, and activity feeds on agex.

Discussions

agex has a community forum for conversations about agentic coding. Discussions are separate from artifact issues — they're for broader topics.

Categories:

  • General — anything about agentic coding
  • Show and Tell — share your setup, configs, or workflows
  • RFC — propose changes or new ideas
  • Q&A — ask questions, get answers

Discussions live at /app/discussions and have a minimal, text-first design.

Issues

Every artifact has its own issue tracker, similar to GitHub issues. Use issues to:

  • Report bugs in an artifact
  • Request features or improvements
  • Ask questions about usage

Issues have open/closed status. The artifact owner and issue author can close/reopen issues. Comments support markdown.

Collections

Collections are user-curated editorial lists of artifacts. Unlike projects (which are pullable bundles), collections are for organizing and sharing recommendations.

Examples:

  • "Best CLAUDE.md files for web development"
  • "My production agentic coding setup"
  • "Essential MCP servers for full-stack devs"

Browse collections at /app/collections, or add artifacts to your collections from any artifact's detail page.

Following Users

Follow users to see their activity in your home feed. When someone you follow publishes a new artifact, updates a version, or starts a discussion, it appears in your Activity feed.

Follow counts are shown on user profiles. You can follow/unfollow from any user's profile page.

Notifications

You receive notifications when:

  • Someone files an issue on your artifact
  • Someone comments on your issue
  • A version you submitted is reviewed
  • Someone starts following you
  • Someone replies to your discussion

Notifications appear in the Inbox (/app/inbox) and the sidebar shows an unread count badge.

Activity Feed

The home dashboard shows an activity feed from people you follow:

  • New artifacts published
  • Version updates with changelogs
  • Stars on your artifacts
  • New discussions

Suggested artifacts are interspersed in the feed based on your interests.

The Explore page supports a Trending sort that surfaces recently-active artifacts. The algorithm weighs:

  • Recent votes (last 7 days) — weighted 3x
  • Download count
  • Recency

Badges

Artifacts automatically earn badges based on community signals:

  • Popular — 100+ downloads
  • Highly Rated — 20+ votes
